TOTAL BUILDING PERFORMANCE AND DIAGNOSTICS
Landscape
Guided by its "Park in Campus" concept, Woodlands Hospital integrates therapeutic gardens, community spaces and natural ecosystems to create a healing environment that supports recovery, well-being and community engagement
HEALING FOREST GARDEN
The Healing Forest Garden, developed by NParks, was designed based on research demonstrating the positive impact of nature on human health and well-being. As Singapore's first purpose-built hospital parkland, it supports patients' physical, emotional, and psychological recovery through therapeutic engagement with nature. The garden comprises four distinct zones, offering a range of restorative experiences that cater to different user needs and preferences.

COMMUNITY FARMS
The rooftop Community Farms at the Specialist Outpatient Clinic (SOC) and Towers 7 & 8 are integral to Woodlands Hospital's preventive healthcare approach. Beyond urban farming, they promote wellness, community participation and therapeutic engagement, reinforcing the campus's commitment to improving health outcomes beyond traditional clinical care.

The trade-off
The extensive landscape requires long-term maintenance, horticultural management, and ecological stewardship. However, these investments create significant value by providing therapeutic environments, improving user experience, strengthening community connections, enhancing biodiversity and reinforcing Woodlands Hospital's vision as a people-centred "Campus of Care".
