A Garden of Healing: Park in Campus

A significant observation is the seamless integration of the Woodlands Healing Garden within the healthcare campus. Developed in collaboration with NParks, the 1.7-hectare therapeutic garden is fully accessible to patients, staff, visitors, and the wider community, reinforcing the "Park in Campus" concept adopted by Woodlands Hospital.

The garden is connected to the Park Connector Network and incorporates diverse spaces that cater to different user groups, including nature play areas, wellness lawns, seasonal gardens and quiet retreat spaces. These features encourage physical activity, social interaction, rehabilitation and community engagement while providing opportunities for users to reconnect with nature. The accessibility and inclusiveness of the garden support both healing and community well-being, which are important aspects of spatial performance under the TBPD framework.
